Persuasive Writing

I was learning to write a persuasive piece of writing. I can think of Lots of reasons why Ice-Cream is better than chocolate. It was easy to persuade the reader to think that Ice-cream is better than Chocolate because Ica-cram is very yummy.

Youthtown

I love youthtown because they teach us new games and we like them teaching us. I like playing cats and rats.

Telling Time

I was learning to tell the time. I can read the shot hard and I can read the long hand. It was easy because I the new the short hand is the hour hand.

Summarising

I was learning to summarise information in fiction texts. I can answer who?when where? why? It was easy because the information was in the book.

Acrostic Poems

I was learning to write an acrostic poem. I can writ an acrostic poem about Halloween. It was tricky to write an acrostic poem because I have not written an acrostic poem before.

I was learning to describe the setting. I can describe where the story is taking place. it was easy because the pictures helped me see where the story took place.

I was learning to write  narrative. I can describe the characters and settings. It was hard because we didn't know that n many describing words.

I was learning to solve addition problem.
I can solve simple addition problems.
It was tricky because I need to practise my basic facts more.

I was learning to make words using different letters.
I can make lots of words using the letter provided.
It was easy because there was lots of letters to choose from.

Chines Cultural lessons

Contractions

I was learning how to make contractions. I can make two longer words into one shorter word. I found it tricky because it was my first time learning about contractions.

Punctuation Marks

I was learning about punctuation marks. I know when to use each punctuation marks. It was easy because we have been practising using punctuating marks in class.

Making Inferences

I was learning to make inferences. I can think about what the words one telling me. It was tricky because I found it hard to know what some of the words were trying to tell me.

I was learning about bonds to ten. I can add two different numbers to make ten. It was easy because I have been practising adding to ten.

Counting Forwards and Backwards

I was learning to count forwards and backwards starting from any number. I can count forwards and backwards starting from any number. It was easy to count forwards because the numbers were low.

Key Words

I was learning to read for specific information. I can look for keywords. It was tricky to find keywords because finding the pages the words were on was hard.

Skip Counting

I was Learning to skip count in 2s and 5s. i learn't how to skip count in 2s and 5s. it was easy to skip count in 5s because i have learnt this before.

Vowel Sounds

I was learning about the short and long vowel sounds.i can tell the difference between the long and short vowel sounds. it was easy to tell the differnce between the vowel sounds because the video explained it well.

Plot

I was learning how to talk about the plot in the story. I know how to talk about the plot in the story. It was tricky to talk about the plot In the story because i have not learnt this before.
